How to Jump Start Your Chery Safely

Correct procedure for jump starting a Chery with a dead battery, without damaging the electronics.

Step-by-Step Instructions

   Position the donor vehicle close but not touching

   Turn off both vehicles and all electrical accessories

   Connect RED cable to the positive (+) terminal of the dead battery

4. 4

   Connect the other end of RED to the donor's positive (+) terminal

   Connect BLACK cable to the donor's negative (-) terminal

   Connect the other end of BLACK to an unpainted metal surface on the dead car (ground)

   Start the donor vehicle and let it run for 5 minutes

   Try to start the Chery

   Once started, remove cables in REVERSE order

    Drive for 20+ minutes to recharge the battery
